History
Tireless shaping and forming – for more than 60 years.
In 1948 Dr. Günther Kaupert began manufacturing the first chocolate moulds from metal. He was inspired when company founder Alfred Bodderas from Lüdenscheid told him about an unpaid tooling for a chocolate manufacturer. The Erndtebrück Operation had been founded during the last war for fear of the Allied bombardments, in order to protect machines and production. In 1958, Erndtebrück became an independent operation.

As our company grows, so does our responsibility to use energy and materials efficiently. That is why we actively involve our employees in concrete improvement measures. Together with customers and suppliers, we also work to make our logistics processes more efficient.
Energy-efficient operations
At our production sites, we reduce energy consumption through continuous process optimisation. In 2011, energy consumption in the energy-intensive injection moulding department was reduced by more than 20 percent. Purchased raw materials are processed efficiently. Suitable production residues are either reprocessed internally or sent to appropriate recycling routes through specialist recycling companies.The Schameder site has been equipped with a modern heat recovery system that covers up to 80 percent of its heating energy requirements. In Erndtebrück, a renatured area of approximately 3,000 square metres will remain permanently undeveloped. Our Marburg plant has been certified according to ISO 50001 since 2020.

Since 1958, Kaupert has been one of the leading companies for thermoformed packaging for food and non-food industries alike. A 3D CAD development department enables us to realise specific customer requests quickly and accurately. Our in-house tooling department as well as years of experience in production warrant for highest levels of quality and according to contemporary state of technology.
