In-House Tooling Department For Premium-Quality Products
The construction data created with our fully-integrated CAD/CAM system can be used directly in our in-house Tooling Department. On state-of-the-art HSC milling machines we typically manufacture some 500 vacuum and injection-moulding toolings annually. Transferring our Tooling Capacity into so-called low labour cost countries or LLCCs was never an option for us. We are strongly convinced that a close collaboration and communication between the different departments Research, Design, Construction, Tooling, Injection and Thermoforming is a vital basis for the production of premium products.
Durable and Low-Stress Simulation for more Cost Efficiency
Kaupert is constantly investing in latest Injection-Moulding Technology and is produing exclusively on recent and state-of-the-art injection-moulding plant. Even before the injection tooling is mounted onto the injection-machine for a first sample production, the injection-moulding process has already been simulated using simulation software. This is how the mould construction can already be screened and optimized beforehand – saving time and cost. The right construction together with our cascading hot runner injection-moulding system will provide a very low stress Chocolate Mould. Your advantage: Kaupert moulds simply live longer!
Detecting, logging and monitoring of all production data have become increasingly important nowadays – also in your production. Especially in the food sector, traceability aspects are of paramount importance. Using an RFID tag provides a safe means to distinctively identify and monitor each individual chocolate mould. For example, you can check and store how many cycles a mould has performed in a production line or how often it has been cleaned. With the help of this data informed decisions about the frequency and time of use for every mould can be made, enabling you to precautious exchanging them before they actually break and fail. Foreign body problems in chocolate are hence reduced to a minimum.
Keep everything in View! Using Kaupert Laser Engravings
Fast and exact recognition of moulds is of paramount importance to our customers, especially when employing a multitude of different moulds. Aside from numerous colours, we can also provide lateral laser engravings in a mould – such as product specifications or names of the pertinent moulding lines.
Only the highest grades of polycarbonate from established manufacturers are being used at Kaupert. Currently, our main supplier is BAYER. The brand name for BAYER polycarbonate is MAKROLON. Only premium and FDA-approved polycarbonate granulates are being used for our chocolate moulds. These will ensure best durability and resilience against dynamic load and stress and an optimal resistance against detergents. Dimensional stability under heat influence of up to 135°C, strikingly good demouldability, brilliant surface finish as well as an excellent performance and long life span are further benefits.
